Meeting of producers and managers of performing arts in Warsaw
When: Friday 26.08.2022, 1 pm – 5 pm
Where: SzkoĹa, ul. Emilii Plater 31, Warsaw
The subject of the meeting will be the cooperation of independent artists or non-governmental organizations and public institutions – good practices, previous projects, methods, but also difficulties, showing different perspectives.
The meeting will be attended by guests from abroad, so the language of the meeting and presentation will be English.
The formula of the meeting is a series of presentations and Q&A sessions. The presentation lasts about 15-20 minutes and is followed by a 10-minute Q + A session.

Producer meetings in Poland were initiated by the creators of the group „Production of performative events”. The group was initiated as part of the bottom-up initiative meetings – WspĂłlna PrzestrzeĹ [Common Space]. The group write about itself: âWe want to meet to talk about production, network, support each other, research problematic production cases, ultimately train each other and try to influence how / in what / where / what / why we produceâ.

InfoPack – SUMMER INTENSIVE LABORATORY – EMBODIED IDEAS
EMBODIED IDEAS â intensive lab and performance OPEN CALL
We invite you to this special summer intensive dedicated to young artists and art students, age 18-31, from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary creating in dance, theater and performing arts field. A one-week residential intensive laboratory for body work and site-specific composition which will be presented in the frame of International Festival Unity in Poland.
Where: Cultural Center in Sochaczew, Sochaczew, Poland (60 km from Warsaw)

This is a second edition of this project and this year it will be a part of the project âEmbodied ideas. Performing arts program of first avant-garde reinterpretationâ which aims to develop cultural heritage of the first European avant-garde in the community of performative arts.
During everyday activities laboratory programme participants will practice dance and movement techniques. From the beginning they will take part in physical activities in public and natural spaces. On the basis of personal experience and inspirations related to different outdoor spaces and avant-garde concepts participants will develop actions, which will be incorporated into a final presentation during the International Festival Unity in Sochaczew.
Leading subject of International Laboratories of Movement and Dance will be the heritage of European avant-garde.
We will analyze the artistsâ work in relation to natural spaces and social movements that took place in Central Europe, in particular in the Visegrad countries after World War I or in the interwar years. Following artistsâ heritage will be inspiration for lab work: Polish sculpturer Katarzyna Kobro, Czech painter and drafter Toyen, Slovak painter and drafter Viera Kraicova and Slovak neo avant-garde artist Jana Ĺ˝eblinskĂĄ, Hungarian poet, novelist, painter and theoretician Lajos KassĂĄk.

Costs for participants:
170 EUR (8 nights all-inclusive (food, accommodation, seminar, labs))
Travel costs can be refunded up to 100 EUR based on the tickets or appropriate travel documentation (details will be presented to the participants in the recruitment process).
